Support Music in Your Neighborhoods

Hello friends,

If you are reading this, you may already be, in one way or another, a supporter of the String Orchestra of Brooklyn. Whether you’ve been to a concert, performed with us, or just follow us from afar, you recognize that what we do, and who we are, is completely unique. Thank you for this support.

And since you value our contribution to the musical life of Brooklyn and the wider New York community, please consider taking the next step and donating to the SOB. Your contributions help us pay for all the things we need to maintain and grow our organization, from the mundane (renting space, marketing) to exciting projects like commissioning new works, hiring great soloists, and making audio and video recordings of concerts.

We’ve got another amazing year ahead. We’re especially excited to be inaugurating two new initiatives: the SOB Conducting Workshop with SOB favorite Tito Muñoz, and the String Theories Festival, four days of concerts in late March focusing on 21st century string works performed by the SOB and guest artists and ensembles.

And there’s more: a performance of Beethoven’s Eroica in February, Buxtehude’s complete cantata cycle Membra Jesu Nostri in April with the Polydora Ensemble, the world premiere of a new piano concerto by Scott Wollschleger in June, and much more.

Your donations directly support these exciting new projects, and lay the groundwork for future seasons. If adventurous music-making matters to you, please consider donating to the SOB.

We are so grateful for your support–you make what we do possible.

Happy Holidays,

Eli Spindel
