Elena Rahona

Violin

Elena came to music and the violin late in life, having always wanted to play but never having had the opportunity until after graduating college and realizing she had the time to do whatever she wanted. She has never looked back and considers herself lucky for still being amazed every time she picks up her instrument. Elena is involved with an amateur orchestra in the UK for other like-minded adults who get together every year in the English countryside and around Europe to revel in being able to make music together.

She is the manager of a global health program for a Manhattan hospital and the Co-Founder/Director of the New York Late-Starters String Orchestra, a string orchestra for adults new to playing.
