Jason Asbury

Conductor, Music Director | Grace Chorale of Brooklyn



Jason Asbury is active as a concert organist, conductor and choral accompanist in the New York City metropolitan area. He is currently the Assistant Head of School at Saint Ann’s School where he has taught for seventeen years and recently completed a tenure of seventeen years as Director of Music at Prospect Presbyterian Church in Maplewood, New Jersey. Mr. Asbury is Founder/Artistic Director of the Essex County New Jersey choral festival calledSing Out! held biennially at the Newark Museum. He has performed as a solo recitalist in many venues including St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City, Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City, Augustinerkirche in Vienna, Austria and Princeton University Chapel.

Mr. Asbury has served as assistant conductor of the Summit Chorale at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, accompanist for the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, conducted the Prospect Presbyterian Chancel Choir’s concert tours in Scotland and Montreal, and led the Saint Ann’s High School Chorus on a tour to Germany and the Czech Republic. He is currently serving as President of the national board of Presbyterian Association of Musicians.
