The music of composer Joshua Feltman has been performed in the New York area by The String Orchestra of Brooklyn, CW Post Orchestra, and the New Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra. Acclaimed as a work of “real emotional power” by San Francisco Classical Review, Feltman’s orchestral work Commute was a commission from the Oakland East-Bay Symphony. Mr. Feltman’s Kubla Khan was recorded by The Jordan Winds for Albany Records and An Old American Dream was the recipient of an ASCAP Young Composers Award. He was selected as the ASCAP Foundation Leonard Bernstein fellow at Tanglewood in 2004 and has also attended the Aspen Music Festival as a fellowship student in film scoring. Mr. Feltman is an accomplished conductor, pianist, and violist as well, playing regularly with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas and leading Classical Revolution (a chamber music presenting organization).
